Finding a Known Article

When you have a citation to an article, and need to locate the full-text, here's how:

First: Does IUP subscribe?

Use the Online Catalog

Example: do we have the Journal of Pschology?


Look for Full-Text

Example: click on Journal of Psychology [electronic resource] and go to the Linked Resources section

Searching for Articles by Topic

Searching for Articles on a Topic

When you don't have a specific article in mind, and are beginning your research into a subject, you can search our wide selection of article databases to locate journal articles on your topic of interest.

Access the Database Page

First, click the Article Databases link on the Library home page.

Select a Topic

Choose the topic from the drop-down selection, search for a keyword, or choose a broad Library of Congress subject area, and the page will refresh to show the relevant databases. Click on the title of a database to go to its search page, and begin searching!
