Distance Learning Library Services: Quick Start

This guide is intended to help students who are taking classes at a regional campus and/or online to more easily access library resources and services.

IUP Libraries Website is Your Portal to Library Resources

The majority of IUP Libraries' resources and services are available to you through the Libraries' website at www.iup.edu/library.  This page will highlight several of the most important tools on the website that you will need as a distance learner.

Everything Search

Everything Search is an integrated search of books, e-books, research articles, newspaper articles, and other publications available from IUP Libraries.  You can think of it as a one-stop search engine for almost all of the resources the library provides.

Ask Us! Answers @ IUP Libraries

The Send Us a Question link from the webpage provides online reference support for all IUP Library users.  This page allows you to browse a list of FAQs or ask a new question via email or text message.

Off-Campus Access to E-Resources

In order to access IUP Libraries' resources from off-campus, you'll need to log in using your IUP username and password.  When you click on, for example, a database or e-book link, you will be taken to the KLN PASS page.  Click on the IUP logo.
