Library Resources for Dr. McCarthy's GSR615 Class: Resources for Learning APA Style

OWL at Purdue

All graduate students should own a copy of the sixth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA Guide). However, the Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University provides an excellent APA Formatting and Style Guide that can be used to supplement the print guide.

The following links to videos, published by OWL, provide tutorials on different aspects of APA:

APA Citation Generators

There are several free online citation generators that will help you credit your sources in proper APA format such as:

IUP students may also download EndNote (bibliographic management software) for free from the IT Support Center webpage. EndNote maintains references, assists with downloading references from electronic databases (such as those found in EBSCOhost and Proquest), and supports citing references while writing. It is a valuable tool for graduate research writing.
