Dr. Crystal Machado
Dr. Crystal Machado is an Assistant Professor in the Professional
Studies in Education Department at Indiana University of
Pennsylvania where she teaches education courses at the graduate
and undergraduate levels. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Educational
Leadership, two Master’s Degrees, one in School Administration and the other in Primary Education, and two Bachelor’s Degrees, one in Business and the other in Education. Prior to teaching in higher education, Crystal worked as a K-12 teacher, an administrator, and middle/high school assistant principal for many years in Pakistan. She also provided training to pre-service and in-service teachers. Her research interests include multicultural and global education,
critical thinking and reflective practice, innovative web-based technology, and school reform and renewal; she has presented on these topics at international, national, and regional conferences. Crystal lives in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
