ENGL 122: Intro to English Studies: Using the Book Catalog

Search Everything

Search Everything

The search everything tab covers the major database vendors such as EBSCO and ProQuest as well as the library catalog.

You can use PALCI to get books when you can't find what you're looking for at IUP.  Use the link at the top of this page to access the PALCI search screen.  It usually takes 2-3 days for books to arrive at IUP from other libraries.  NOTE: You will not be able to request a book if it is available through IUP or if you have overdue fines.

Call Number Practice

If you have never used call numbers before, I highly recommend this tutorial on how to read them from the University of Arizona:

How to read call numbers

You can also bring your call number to the reference desk and a librarian will be happy to help you find your book.
