The Special Collections and University Archives at Indiana University of Pennsylvania collects, organizes, preserves, and provides access to the institutional history of IUP, as well as rare books, artifacts, and historical information of interest to the region and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Through a broad range of activities, The Historical and Genealogical Society of Indiana County seeks to promote a greater appreciation of the Indiana community's rich heritage and a better understanding of life today. In 1938, the Society was founded as a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization. The Society's purpose is to collect and preserve materials illustrative to Indiana County, its families, businesses, organizations, etc. They welcome visitors.
