Step 1: visit www.iup.edu/library click on ‘online catalog’ link

Step 2: click on guided search, type keywords in the boxes (warning: results include electronic books & online government documents)

Step 3: look for a call number to find a print book, write down or text the call number to locate the book on the shelf (hint: handout for finding a book on the shelf &

Tip #4 – Find articles & electronic books/ e-books (easiest way, does not encompass Library databases)

Step 1: visit www.iup.edu/library type a few keywords in the I-search box at the top of the page

Step 2: view and refine results on the left (warning: results include journal articles, print and electronic books & online government documents)

Step 3: For e-books = click on the hyper linked title to obtain the link to the electronic book OR For articles – click on the PDF full text link under the title on the search results page

Step 1: visit www.iup.edu/library click on ‘Interlibrary Loan’ link in the Services box on the right of the page

Step 2: follow the steps on this web page link

Step 3: Call the Reference Desk at 724-357-3006 for assistance finding materials (please call!!)

  • Public carrels are available on a “first-come, first-served” basis and may not be reserved

  • Group study rooms via in-person reservations, 2+ students, up to 2 hours; questions call 724-357-2460
